COMMEMORATION CEREMONY OF NATIONAL STATISTICS DAY

National Statistics Day (HSN) falls on September 26. The birth of National Statistics Day has a long history. Starting from Law No. 6 of 1960 concerning the Census as a replacement for the Volkstelling Ordonnantie 1930. Then, on September 26, 1960, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia at that time passed Law No. 7 of 1960 concerning Statistics. Law No. 7 of 1960 regulates in detail the implementation of statistics and the organization of the Central Bureau of Statistics. In August 1996, the President of the Republic of Indonesia at that time designated September 26 as "National Statistics Day". The reason is that the birth of Law No. 7 of 1960 is the starting point of the Central Bureau of Statistics in filling the independence in the field of statistics. Then in 1997, the President of the Republic of Indonesia at that time stipulated Law No. 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics as a replacement for Law No. 6 and No. 7 of 1960.
