Borong, 18 September 2024. Inflation is one of the global problems that is of concern to the whole world, including the Indonesian government. As one of the measures to control inflation in Manggarai Regency, the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) has been formed. Since the formation of this team, the East Manggarai Regency OPD continues to monitor price developments in the Borong market and its surroundings. Commodities that experience very high price changes will become a reference for the local government in determining price control policies, so the quality of price collection data needs to be guarded by holding a briefing for field data collectors to improve understanding and competence in data collection. The results of field data collection will be used by BPS to calculate the price development index (IPH), collaboration with OPD is BPS' role as a fosterer of sectoral data, so that Regency / City BPS is expected to be able to foster related OPDs in the regions about the Price Development Index (IPH).

In the context of fostering sectoral statistics, BPS Kabupaten Manggarai Timur held a socialisation of the Price Development Index (IPH) and briefing for market price data collectors to data collectors from the Department of Trade, Cooperatives and MSMEs of Kabupaten Manggara Timur.
