[Knowledge Sharing on GRDP with the Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis Team/Nerwilis]
The BPS of East Manggarai Regency has successfully held a knowledge-sharing session to discuss what GRDP is, where it comes from, the purpose of the processed data, and its definition concept. This took place in the meeting room of the East Manggarai BPS office on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 09:30 to 10:30 WITA.

GRDP itself stands for "Gross Regional Domestic Product," which is the total value of final goods and services produced by all economic units in a region during a certain period. GRDP uses the System of National Accounts (SNA) calculation standard, which is a set of internationally agreed standards for measuring economic activity that applies strict accounting agreements based on economic principles.

Based on the release timing, GDP is divided into two types, namely annual GDP and quarterly GDP. Meanwhile, according to the calculation approach, GDP is divided into three, namely production value, income value, and expenditure value. Broadly speaking, GDP is also available in Current Prices GDP (its increase is influenced by production value and prices) and Constant Prices GDP (its increase is only influenced by production value).

According to information from the publication team, starting in 2026, quarterly GDP will be available in a more varied and complete range. GDP by Business Field will be available in 17 categories, and Expenditure GDP will have 6 components.
